  thinking back when i was a true believer these are probably the top ten reasons why i believed jws are the true religion.

  1. they show love among themselves by not going to war.

  not killing your fellow believers in any circumstances, including war, would seem to be a very basic requirement for true christianity.

  in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

  The faithful remnant of the 144,000 (the two witnesses) haven't been officially identified yet but there are over 20,000 in the running.

  Half hearted JWs compared to past generations

  is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

  when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

  Thomas, the whole Covid issue, from the spiritual and secular lockdowns to the coerced vaccines, was the game changer for me. I still have complete faith in the heavenly org, but my faith in the earthly org was severely damaged.

  When the GB 'locked down' the JWs over Covid it did irreparable harm.

  the truth is most active jws would probably agree that most of the teachings are not right, the new thing is that we just don’t know.. the governing body now say they get things wrong and make mistakes as they are not inspired and not infallible.

  In addition to refusing the vaccine, I also complained about the KHs being locked down and the door-to-door work being banned. I didn't want to 'get with the program'. I ended up going inactive for 2 years over that mess.

  I am speaking from my own perspective. I was one of the few that refused the vaccine. It was not received well.

  After the divisions the GB caused by coercing the Covid vaccine, I hope they don't make that mistake again.

  They won't fade as much as change from what they are now. Doctrinal and organizational changes will continue.
